Stuttering therapy
Do you have a child who has a speech impediment? Does your child have a stutter? Are you looking into the various types of speech therapy for children? If you have answered yes to any of these questions this article may well be of interest and benefit to you. I am a person who has managed to overcome a speech impediment known as a stammer or stutter which had been ruining my life for seventeen years. I now help other people to beat their own speech impediments and to achieve fluency.
In an attempt to find answers to all of these questions my parents phoned the local hospital and asked to be put through to the speech therapist. Eventually they managed to locate this speech therapist who tried his best to put their minds at ease. My mother and father were both a lot happier for phoning this speech therapist as they were told that it was very likely that it was just a phase I was going through and that it was very common for this type of thing to happen in young children, especially in boys. Well guess what, he was wrong!
After a few months my parents realised and accepted that the speech impediment was not going away and decided to enrol me on a series of traditional speech therapy lessons.
I continued to attend speech therapy for the next thirteen years before deciding that it was never going to work for me.
Aged twenty-two after a lot of hard work in the form of self-help, I finally managed to rid myself of this horrible stuttering problem.
